What happens if it rains?

The race will go on rain or shine and will only be cancelled or postponed if weather conditions present imminent danger to participants. We will update you throughout race week via email and social media.

Are there registration refunds if I can’t run?

All registrations are final and there are no refunds. You can transfer your entry for $15 to another runner before 10/11/2018 click on register now on our site and find the transfer option.

Is this race a Boston Qualifier?

Yes, the course will be certified and results submitted to the Boston Athletic Association. Please note: Qualifiers are eligible for the 2020 Boston Marathon.

How do I get from the finish line back to the start?

There will be a free shuttle bus taking runners from the finish line area to the starting line area at Midtown Crossing. The busses will run approximately every 15 minutes from 8:30am until 2pm.

Where should I park?

There is very low cost  parking available at Midtown Crossing in their two parking garages. 31st and Farnam Streets

How many water stops are there and where are the bathrooms located?

There will be water stops approximately every two miles along the route as well as bathrooms throughout the course and at start and finish lines.

Where are the best places for spectators to see the runners?

The race route is amazingly spectator friendly. The best place to be is in the 10th & Farnam area. Please get there early as the streets close at 7am sharp.

10th & Farnam is mile 1.5 and 2.3.  After your favorite runner passes this spot twice, walk over to ConAgra (about 200 yards to the south and east from here). The runners will pass this spot twice at miles 6 and again at 8.

Next, walk to the Lewis & Clark Landing to see them finish!

Are there time limits?

All registrants must agree to the 3:30 (half marathon) and 6 hours (full marathon) time limits. The course will officially close and services will end at 1:30pm and runners may be asked to move to the sidewalk and obey all traffic laws at this time.

What are the minimum age requirements to paricipate?

The minimum ages to compete are as follows:
Full Marathon: 12 years old
Half Marathon: 10 years old
5k: 5 years old

Will there be a Bag Check?

Yes, if you like, you will be given a bag at packet pickup that can be used as a bag drop. Simply leave this at our bag drop tent at the starting line and we will bring your bag for pickup at the finish line. The Nebraska Marathon is not responsible for lost, stolen or discarded property.

When Should I Arrive?

Plan for possible traffic delays around the starting area and know that police will begin closing the streets at 7:00am near the start. Please line up and be ready to start at 7:20am.
